A GUIDE TO EARTHMOVER CONTRACTORS INSURANCE
Heavy duty insurance protection
If you’re an earthmoving contractor, specific insurance policies are required to cover your machinery and plant, and the liability in operating the equipment.
At Rose Stanton, we can tailor insurance to meet the needs of earthmovers and related industries. You can include coverage for:
- Damage to pipes and cables provided that appropriate authorities have been consulted in writing, and details have been obtained regarding the position of pipes and cables together with supports and fittings.
- Injury or property damage caused by vibration, removal or weakening of support for adjacent structure to a limit of $250,000
- If your earthmover causes injury or property damage during demolition of ‘standalone’ buildings or structures up to 5 metres high, where the demolition is incidental to earth moving activities.
- Property damage cause by an unregistered machine while unloading or reloading for conveyance (usually trailering) provided the point of loading or unloading was as near as reasonably practical to the work site.
